MEET THE TEAM

Marshall Woodworth

Born and raised in Louisiana, Marshall Woodworth spent his childhood in Rapides and Avoyelles Parishes around many native francophones. In his 20’s he travelled the country and returned to Louisiana to attend the University of New Orleans for his undergraduate degree in film. He spent several years directing and editing Louisiana indie films and docs such as “La Veille”, “The Opera Game”, and “Building Minds With Chess”. In 2022 he began co-writing and directing the first and only cartoon in Louisiana French, "Boudini et Ses Amis". Recenlty, he recieved his Masters in film and is currently directing the third season of "Boudini" while working in the film department at U.N.O. and writing a screenplay for a feature length film.

Philippe Billeaudeaux was born into a Cajun French family in Lafayette, Louisiana. In his youth, he was part of the first class of French Immersion in Lafayette Parish, heavily exposed to local culture through festivals and events in his hometown, the bayous of Lower St. Martin Parish, and French-speaking family members from the prairies of St. Landry Parish. In early adulthood, he joined Feufollet, the progressive Cajun music group, earning a Grammy nomination for his work on their album "En Couleurs." He also performed with other French music bands, notably Cedric Watson et Bijou Créole and Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys. His stop motion animations have been seen on ESPN’s True South, at exhibits at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, and for projects with the Center for Louisiana Studies and Festival Internationale de Louisiane. Currently, he devotes his time to creating "Boudini et Ses Amis" with co-creator Marshall Woodworth, serving as musical director as well as co-animator, co-illustrator, and co-writer.
