Les Aventures de Boudini Et Ses Amis

Come and join Boudini as he takes us on a wild ride through the magical swampland that is Lac Bijou!

We'll get to time travel, meet junkyard robots and magnificent dinosaurs while learning lessons in history, math, geography, language arts, and science. Louisiana natives Marshall Woodworth and Phillippe Billeaudeaux of Creole Cartoon Company have created an animated series that sees South Louisiana, its culture, and the French language through the lens of a wacky gang of unlikely heroes who are determined to protect their magical Lac Bijou against the forces of evil, led by Boudini of course!

Based on the legendary South Louisiana artist, cartoonist, traiteur, ventriloquist, and actor Ken Meaux, a.k.a. The Great Boudini, the series focuses on a young, determined magician voiced by French Immersion teacher and award winning author Kirby Jambon on his quest to become a famous TV personality. Billeaudeaux and Woolworth have created a colorful world of characters to join Boudini and his silly antics, which include the skateboarding, guitar strumming, whip smart scholar Colinda; the laid back but learned marsh engineer, T Boy; as well as Meaux’s trusty alligator sidekick, Coco le Cocodrie.

This series is a perfect educational component for French immersion students kindergarten through 8th grade, adults interested in learning Cajun French, or anyone who loves Louisiana colors and characters.

The adventures continue in season 2 with everyone's favorite Cajun illusionist and his bayou dwelling friends. New characters voiced by Point au Chien tribal elder Theresa Dardar, radio host Valerie Broussard Boston, and celebrated Louisiana French musicians Blake Miller and Chris Stafford will make their Boudini debut. Series regulars Cedric Watson, Aaliyah Walker, and Grammy winner Louis Michot return to lend their talents in their own South Louisiana voice and vernacular.
